Scientists researching into skin cancer have stumbled on an explanation as to why hair follicles turn gray, reports Cosmetic Design Europe.
Sorry though, there is no soon-to-be-found miracle cure though. The discovery was made as scientists
were researching the origins of malignant melanoma, which can lead to skin cancer.
The
scientific team said that its research showed that the loss of
melanocytes not only leads to a graying of the hair, but also causes
diminishes hues that give the hair shaft a shiny, healthier and more
youthful looking appearance.
A haircare giant may pick up on the research though? I can imagine there would be quite a bit of a market place for products that kept your hairs colour and shine. I know I’d be queuing up!

We love products from Jessica Cosmetics.
We use them in the salon, we sell them in the shop.
So, we made our very own Jessica Nails website.
Over time, we will put videos and stuff on there to do with natural nail care, but it’s early days and all we could manage today was the colour chart of all the Jessica Colours.
Any feedback or things you’d like to see, please let us know.

Came across MyShape.Com this week, an American website for clothes that fit the shape of YOUR body:
The idea germinated in response to a problem shared by women of all ages and sizes: finding clothes that both fit well and flatter our body shapes. We all deserve great clothing in wonderful, exquisite textiles and designs that celebrate our body shapes.
You can create your own shop (on their site) based on the shape of your body, to buy clothes that best fit you. Based in the UK we haven’t tried it yet, but looks like a good idea.

Coca-Cola have teamed up with L’OrĂ©al to create a new health-and-beauty drink to launch in 2008, according to various industry news websites.

Lumaé is a tea-based drink, with ingredients that
will help women look after their skin. Apparently it will be sold with beauty products rather than drinks and could be sitting on the shelves of your local department store next to the creams and lotions.
So, we already have "cosmecueticals" and now "Nutraceuticals" and the trend sets look to grow, already popular in lots of countries, including Japan.
